Is it really so?

Hi guys,

Today I will tell you a story. It's a small story, but it makes me think a lot.

My wife and I live and work in a big city, and we usually go home on New Years holiday and other big holidays.

So, last New Year, we went home to my own house. After dinner time, my wife said to me:

"Your brother does gulp his saliva loud." She said to me.
"Yea, he always does that," I said. "I told him about that. But he never changes."
"But honey, you also gulp your saliva very loud."
"Heh? Really?"
"Yes, even louder than your brother," she said, smiling.
"Is it really so..."

It's not something big, but it really got me thinking...

How have I always been criticize my brother about his bad habit, when I have always had the same habit as his. And mine was even worse!

You know, in daily life, we usually too busy look at others, and especially their bad sides. We don't often look back at our bad habits. When we look at ourselves, we usually think that we are good, and we simply ignore what are bad. You see, my wife never minds someone gulping saliva loud. But I do find that to my dislike, and I told my brother about that. I never thought that I have the same habit.

This is just a small story I want to share with you. If you are the same as me in the story. Don't worry. There's nothing wrong about it. It's just that we should look into two more sides of things. They are the bad sides of ourselves, and the good sides of others.

So,
Our good side,
Our bad side,
Others' good side,
Others' bad side.

Did you hear about Yin-Yang theory?

It says that in everything exists two opposite sides. Light and Dark, Up and Down, Good and Bad.

Therefore, if you see a bad side in someone. Try to find a good thing from them.

Have a great day, guys!

Life or Living?

Hi guys,

I was on my computer working when I came across a quote:

"Stop earning a living. Start earning a life."

(from who I didn't really noticed. Really sorry. If you know who the quote is from, please give me in the comment and I'll update it here.)

Earning a living means all your works can only serve our minimum needs to survive, and we can't afford for something we want to do. That is when we get into a circle that that Robert Kiyosaki calls "the Rat Race". It's something like this.

Yes, you got the idea.

In the Rat Race, we get to NOWHERE. Everything keeps repeating itself. We wake up, go to work, go home, watch TV, pay the bill, and then go to work again.

It's a living.

Stop earning it. Instead, earn a life.

Earning a life means you can live as you want, you can do what you like, and go where you wish to. It's a free life.

To do that, of course, you need more money than earning a living.

I know...
"But it's difficult earning a living!"
"It's easier said than done."
"I'm trying my best already."

Are you thinking like that?

Well, first let me ask you a question. WHAT YOU YOU REALLY WANT? a LIVING or a LIFE?

If it is something you want, and want for life, you should do it, no matter how hard it is.

So, let me share a secret with you...

Most of the time, you just need to push yourself just a little harder. And things will work out. You need to head towards what you want, and put a little more effort on it.

And you will find yourself a different one.

Trust me.

So, see you guys next time.

Dumiti?

Hi, and welcome to Dumiti Blogspot.com.

If you are wondering dumiti means, it's just my name. My name is Duong Minh Tri. I am no one but a normal guy and a freelancer, and a blogger (now).

I want to have something to record what I think and also to share with you guys what I think. I will talk mostly about what's good, what's beautiful in life. No, I am not one of those self-help teachers. I am just a normal guy. If you think you want to read the thoughts of a normal guy, please feel free to do so. That's mostly it.

Now I want to introduce myself. My name is Duong Minh Tri. I was born in 1989 in Soc Trang town, a small town in the south of Vietnam. I went to University in Ho Chi Minh and majored in English Language. I was a teacher for four years (I started teaching when I was in my last year) and then I stop teaching. I got married in March 2015. That's mostly it up to now.

Four years in University, and four years in the workplace, though that was not a long time, but I feel like something has changed inside of me.

I now know what I had been doing...

I now know what I am doing...

I now know what I want to do...

That's one of the reason why I started this blog. Some other reasons I will mentioned in the future.

In my opinion, what I share is not as important as what you will get. The value does not lie in the bringer, it lies in the receiver. Like a book, its value varies from readers to readers. Some people think that book has a lot of value, while some other does not.

So here, I hope you find some good value from this blog and applies it into your life.

That's it. Bye for now.
